About the Book
Welcome to the world of artist Michele Beck, a strange and uncanny place where a dangerous donut has his say, cats dress in sailor suits to take the stage with erotic dancers and skeletons go shopping for the latest fashions. It is a peculiar place where the world may appear out of proportion, a bit heartbreaking or charmingly awkward at times and despite all this it may all feel strangely familiar. Reflecting on everyday life, Michele’s drawings touch on our individual and collective layers of existence in order to affectionately welcome us into her big, colorful family of characters and like any family, there are lot of strange, humorous and unusual members with stories to tell and some of them with great clothes to borrow.
