À propos du livre
Abstract photography always emerges from the world which surrounds us. Isabelle Sastre shows us in her book Sastriagraphs, a world we do not see, she constructs images that belong only to her, while addressing each person's imagination. The photographs are presented to us in their mystery and structural beauty, like poetic dreams.
The fragmentation of materials, the light...create abstract compositions that are removed of their real significance. The sense of scale, tied to the knowledge of the object, dissapears to give way to the unknown. Immense or minuscule, ephemeral or not, fragile or solid, we will never know the origin of these photos - the artist's choice - leaving it totally free to each person's imagination.
