About the Book
In Center City Philadelphia, the main streets bustle leaving the alleys void of human life. I listen to the splash of the dingy puddle as I step through. I smell the wet cardboard and rotting food behind restaurants waft through the air. Dark bags of waste overflow from their containers and spill onto the gravel. The crumbling plaster and repainted brick is colorfully tagged with initials and names. The shadowed, narrow path stretches between buildings, and I walk down the rut to photograph.

Slopping through mud, crunching through snow, tiptoeing on hardwoods, stomping down the alleys, crouching in front of an antique auto. Listening to the gentle breeze rustle the leaves, the cry of a hawk, the creak of the decayed door, the horns from taxis in traffic, the engine roaring to a start. I photograph nature, abandonment, landscapes, architecture, and automotive subjects. I rarely schedule my photo shoots but I enjoy going out and photographing for hours on end. I seek to share my vision and the appearance of what is in front of my lens, and hint on a feeling viewers may share.
